Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP/Title V)
SCSEP is a federally funded program for mature unemployed workers, over age 55 on limited incomes. Participants are assigned to non-profit and government agencies where they have the opportunity to learn new skills, enhance existing capabilities and gain experiences as well as receive stipends for the training. Assignments are temporary and considered as “bridges to employment”. Assistance with basic job readiness, employment search techniques and skills, and employment referrals further facilitate the transition to unsubsidized employment.

Employment Readiness Education Center (EREC)
The EREC program is open to Stamford residents, age 45 and over, who do not qualify for the SCSEP/Title V program, either due to age or income requirements. EREC provides similar services but does not include a subsidized component.
